x Susan C. Skelley

Susan C. Skelley is a principal of the firm. Her practice focuses on estate planning, business planning and tax matters. She advises individuals and families on a broad range of estate planning issues, including business succession, establishment of family investment vehicles, and antenuptial agreements. In addition, she serves as a trustee for some clients. She has extensive experience in business entity formation, corporate maintenance, and the acquisition and sale of businesses.

For large and complex estates, Ms. Skelley handles probate documents and prepares tax returns. In the area of charitable giving, she has considerable experience in establishing split interest trusts and foundations. She often works with the planned giving departments of universities and public charitable organizations and foundations.

Ms. Skelley received a bachelor's degree from Williams College in 1973, a master's degree in American History from Columbia University in 1975, and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1984.

She served until recently as President of the Board of the New School of Music, in Cambridge.
